And what makes a morning so good? Let's see:
- Woke up about 5:30. Got up about 6:30.
- I figured that's alright 'cause now I can get my car heater working in time to actually heat the car before I go. It was 0 deg so the car heater was unnecessary.
- After I made breakfast and all that I went out. Now it was raining.
- Go back in to get the umbrella. Go out. Forgot the lights on.
- Go back in to turn of the lights. Go to work. Greeted by a really annoying beeping sound coming from the backup server locker.
- Hurt my head on the cabinet over the sink.
Okay, so it's not actually that bad, but since I'm early and feel like blogging, I had to pick a topic.

I tested my webcam in Kopete today. Seems to be working, except that it gets the colors all wrong. Here's what I look like according to Kopete:

I think the beard looks more beardy in that picture 'cause of the colors. I was surprised too and had to look in the mirror to make sure.
KDE4 and PulseAudio

Oooh, now I get it.
The main thing that has been keeping me from going KDE on my home computer is the sound. It always borked. Now, following the first few steps on this page, it's actually working. I can't believe it! Woo!
Ehrm. So now I'm happy. I got my perfect desktop. At the time being, until something newer and shinier catches my eye.
Edit: Still no cure for Juk, but I use ogg123 anyhows.
Desktop wallpaper

Haven't updated my wallpaper gallery since... Whoa. Anyhow. I made a new one to match my final switch to KDE4 on my home computer. I use a dark Plasma theme so this I wanted something similar for the background.
Edit: Added the background to my work computer while I was at it. Fits well on XFCE too.
The left one is a small pic of my current desktop, the middle one is the full size 1680x1050 desktop wallpaper as 95% quality JPEG. The right one is my desktop at work. Enjoy!
The stripes are inspired by that awesome Linux MINT 6 default background.
