More than one way to kill a fly

Well, here's a new one. This just happened; I was being harassed by a really annoying fly. One of those big, black, fat ones, which just flies around your head until you go nuts. Eventually it flew into the bathroom and I figured it would be easier to catch it in a smaller space, so I closed the door. That didn't work, and it just got a lot more irritating! Eventually I had to leave the bathroom, so I went out, and managed to kill the fly by closing the door on it. Then the cat ate it.

There's more than one way to kill a fly.

Another day, another design. Finally I added some color to this blog. I kept the size and all that stuff, so it was practically only some changes in the CSS to add the new skin. Made it look a bit more "Web 2.0"-ish. So. Ta-daa! Now I gotta get some food.

In other news today, it's rainy. Boring. Gray. That's probably what's pushing me towards colorful web sites. Yeah. Probably.

Oh. I've taken over 10 000 pictures with my new camera. The picture index started over from the beginning so now my galleries will get all screwed up and won't be in a chronological order. So keep that in mind.

Added another picture to the [Gallery of Börje], and four more to the [Gallery of Nature].

I've also added a [guestbook] so go ahead and say something! Anyone?

The sky has it

And now it's Sunday, and I'm back from a weekend trip to my aunts cottage in the middle of nowhere. Got some nice photos from that place. We picked up my wife's sister from Helsinki at 23:30, and after a one and a half hour road trip, if not more, we were there. Zzzz. And then, sauna and a dip in the lake!

On the way there, in the middle of the night, I had to stop and take a picture of the sky. Now I've also created a new gallery for all the [nature photos] I take. I'll start with the night sky image.

In other news today, I've created an animation from all the pictures I took from the eclipse two days ago. I didn't edit any of the pictures, only crop them and, of course, lost some colors as it was converted to an animated gif. Because I changed the exposure time a few times, didn't hold the camera in the same position, and fumbled with the lense darkener, or whatever it's called, [the result] looks like some really old school scientific animation.

Yeay! I've made a friend! Well, work related, but still. He's into photography and them pictures are really inspiring. Website's in finnish, but if I tell you that "kuva" means "image", you'll probably be okay.

Somewhat eclipsed

Nothing really interesting has happened the past two days, if you were wondering about the pause. Today, however, was different. I got to witness the first, and probably only, eclipse of the sun I'll ever see. It wasn't complete, only about halfway, but still.

I was thinking of publishing a whole series of photos from the start to the end, but the I figured all the images basically look the same and the lens I used wasn't that good so most images turned out somewhat blurry. So, instead of a gallery, click on the thumbnail to see the best picture I got.
