So I'm working on this game...

Actually I'm not really working on the game just yet. I'm working on learning all that I believe needs to be known in order to create the game that I would like to create at some point in the near future.

Anyhow...

This game related experimenting that I'm doing is producing some output in the form of small demos. Some of them are just some object rotating around, doing nothing else, but some of them may actually be fun to try out.

An example:

I needed to learn how to rotate objects in a 3D space using normals as a source. While testing and learning I produced a small demo where a bunch of fish-like objects chase each other, moving and rotating in 3D space.

Earlier I needed to test different 2D graphics-related things in SDL. I was in the middle of this process when new year came along so I made a small fireworks demo.

And so on and so forth.

I compiled these two demos for Windows too, all other demos are at this time only available as source and Linux binaries.

New wallpaper

Had to make a new wallpaper again because I got a new monitor at work. It has a greater resolution, 1920 x 1080, so all my previous wallpapers got stretched on it.

It turned out allright. Still same theme as my previous ones, though. I have to think of something new eventually.

Edit: Added a second version with a bit more color. Pick which one you like.

Edit: Then I took it still a bit further and added another wheel in the foreground.

Edit: The fourth image is an animated gif where the wheel is spinning.

And by Tiny I mean Sofia, who is tiny, but not as tiny as before. She's this close to standing up without support now.

Oh, and look. Someone else got a hold of the camera for a change. That's me. Ta-daa!

Well.. I'm at it again. Got annoyed with some thing I was doing at work so I made this picture in GIMP. Now I feel better and can continue as normal.

Edit: Added the second picture after I had to give the dragon a nose job due to criticism. Better now?

I also made a short vid of how this picture came to be, step by step.

Turned out pretty well considering I didn't use a media tablet this time. Good precision on the mouse. Yeay.

Windows - sigh

Sometimes, at work, or when I feel the need to play a game, I boot up Windows XP. It always reminds me why I try to avoid it at all time.

This time it figured out a new way to annoy me; Windows Updates installed some new stuff on my computer and gave me the usual Reboot now or later message. The difference was that this time it gave me 15 minutes to decide before it reboots anyway. Let's say I have something really important going on there and have to go run an errand. Yes.

Now I have to keep watch for that popup until I finish my thing. Then I can power off and try not to think about it too much.

Currently running Windows virtually because of some Access related stuff I have to do at work. A few minutes after I turn it on the Anti-Virus kicks in and makes everything all sluggish.
