I always feel like sketching when I'm doing something unpleasant at work. Such as attending meetings.
These, however, are the result of me trying to figure out how to implement Web Service Security using PHP5's native SOAP client. I'm still not there, but I can feel it getting closer. More sketches will probably see the light before I'm done.

Another clean installation and... It didn't help one bit.
These pictures show what I'm talking about:
Show source doesn't display comments or DOCTYPE and possibly other elements of the source unless syntax highlighting is turned off. Many pages on Wikipedia and also on some other sites are displayed like this: large empty space and a mile-long scrollbar. Most information is displayed at the bottom of the page but not all.
Edit: It's probably not hardware related since the same bug appeard in a virtual machine and also when that machine was running on another computer.

It was a font problem and fixed by doing:
sudo apt-get remove ttf-dejavu-core
sudo apt-get install ttf-dejavu
Now everything works again.

As I went on a spinning high G-force ride in an amusement park my daughter was watching with this OMG face.
Then I also experimented with some stereo images. Look at these with your eyes crossed and you should see the depth.
And finally a picture of a holes made by some larvae that looks like the tree has been shot.

In the spirit of mondays I've written a Text-to-brainfuck converter script completely in brainfuck. Here's the script:
>+++[-<++++++++++>]<++>
>++++[-<++++++++++>]<+++>
>++++[-<++++++++++>]<++++++>
>+++++++++[-<++++++++++>]<+>
>++++[-<++++++++++>]<+++++>
>+++++++++[-<++++++++++>]<+++>
++++++++++>
,[[<<<<<<.>>>>>>-]<<<<<.>.>.>.>.>,]
And here's the string "Hello world!" converted to brainfuck:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.[-]
And lastly, the intrepeter: http://brainfuck.tk/.

A quick sketch and some scribbling with Wings3D turned out pretty well.
Looks a bit too much like a Battlestar Galactica rip-off to be useful, though.
Edit: Added another screencap of what it looks like after adding some UV mapping too.
Edit: Now enough practising. I will maybe post a video at some point if I get the model exported to povray with textures and all (doubt it). So here's a final array of views of the ship:

I'm starting to get the hang of this, or this is just another one of my phases which will end and I will go back to my normal sucky self.
The cloud one turned out exactly as I wanted it, which is unusual for my drawings. The beast was initially intended to be some kind of dragon. Now it's a beast. Close, but not really.

Here are some before-and-after clips from San Francisco just before and after the great earthquake in 1905:

So now that some browsers support Ogg video out-of-the box it was easy to just add a handler for the .ogv file ending and implement it in the same function that handles file viewing.
So without further ado: BoxCar2d-gen784.ogv
This is where it ended up before I left it running over the weekend.

So I continued from where the video ended and left it running over the night with a new terrain. The next day it had dumped one of the wheels and made it really stream lined and fast. Boring end where it just gets stuck, though.
