Made another spaceship... I so want to make that game so I can fly all these!
It's an animated gif so clicky for spinny! The ship consists of separate parts: main hull, blasters, and thrusters. The idea is that if ever used in a game, these parts could be destroyed separately. This would also allow for more customized ships as parts can be changed.

groovy. I love the one having a cuppa. I\'d like that one tattooed on me, actually. I shall ask my friend what she thinks about the general ~look of these guys, and then we can get more into specifics. She wants it going around her arm, so a stretched out flying one would be the ticket, but we\'ll decide on what kind of face the little guy should have first!
ps, she\'s totes prepared to pay you a commission.

Smaller cargo-slash-passenger ship, small civilian space speeder.
Then came a war and weapons were added... As the conflicts grew purpose built battleships were built.
Light speeder
This ship is basically a civilian speeder with added blasters.
Medium speeder
This ship is designed to be fast and press through small blockades and handle intercepting ships without changing course.
Heavy speeder
Building on the same concept as the Medium speeder this ship is coupled with a capital ship sized twin turret. To compensate for the dead zone behind the ship an additional small turret has been added behind the cockpit.

Some day I will have to make at least some kind of animation with all these models I've done. A small 3D game would be cool, but I suck too much for that :-(
Here's a small link to help me with this: http://www.f-lohmueller.de/pov_tut/animate/anim22e.htm.
Update: Ooh my first space chase scene ever!
It's an ogg video so Internet Explorer users will just have to do without.
Edit 2011-09-16: Developement animations can be found at http://tagfactory.dyndns.org/~martin/pov_space/.
